Overview
The Excel add-in for financial audit lets you connect and access your Fieldguide data and other features directly in Excel. Use the add-in to:
Dynamically insert data from from Fieldguide into an Excel file and sync updates. Fieldguide's custom Excel functions can reference accounts, trial balance values, and engagement information.
Add tickmarks to cells in your Excel file to document your work, notating things like procedures performed, testing exceptions, and findings.
Perform a static, point-in-time export of trial balance data to Excel.
Get the Fieldguide add-in for Excel
Open the Get Add-ins menu in Excel.
Search for the "Fieldguide" add-in to add it.
Once it's added, you can access the Fieldguide add-in any time from the Add-ins menu in Excel.
Navigate the add-in
Use the 3-lines button in the top-left of the add-in to open its navigation menu. From here, you can access the add-in's setup and features pages.
Set up the add-in
To set up the add-in, log into Fieldguide and then select the engagement and/or framework this file should connect to.
Log into the add-in with your Fieldguide account.
Go to the Setup menu in the add-in.
Select the engagement and/or the framework to connect to. If you select an engagement, set the same framework as the one listed in your engagement's settings.
