Overview
After you've created a financial statement, you can customize the sections, line items, and linked firm account to create different types of financial statements.
Add, remove, or change section headers.
Add, remove, or move line items.
Add or change the firm accounts linked to statement line items.
For standard or common statement layouts, firm admins may consider creating financial statement templates to help users quickly add that type of statement to engagements.
How it works
Client accounts from your trial balance are mapped to firm accounts from your financial audit framework (chart of accounts). Firm accounts are then linked to line items in your financial statement, which are sorted under sections. You can customize all of these elements to create your desired statement layout for the report.

Line items in your statement are sorted under sections.
To add a section, click +Section in the top-right of the page.
To edit a section, right-click the section and select an action from the menu:
Line items can be added to sections or subsections in your statement.
To add a line item, right-click an existing section.
To edit a line item, right-click the line item and select an action from the menu.
Statements automatically hide any line items that aren't tied to client accounts and don't have any manually overwritten values. You can toggle the visibility of these line items using the show/hide menu in the top-right. Showing and hiding line items does change what is exported into the report. If a line item has the option to be hidden in the statement, it means it won't be put in the report.
Bulk edit a statement
To bulk-edit sections and line items, use the checkboxes to select multiple sections or line items and select an action (move or delete) from the toolbar at the bottom. After selecting an action, choose whether to apply the action to both sections and line items or to line items only.
Edit linked firm accounts on line items
Firm accounts are linked to line items in your statement. Fieldguide will automatically calculate the total value for each line item. To change which firm accounts are linked to a line item, click the Edit ⊕ button on a line item's Linked Firm Accounts column and use the checkboxes to select accounts.
Fieldguide will automatically update line items' totals if you change the linked accounts.
Firm accounts can only be linked to one line item at a time. The Select accounts menu may show "No accounts yet" if all firm accounts are already linked. To link a firm account to a new line item, unlink it from its current line item first.
