How do I create a new Request?

Create a New Request

A Request is more than a just page for uploading Documents. You can track important information about the Request to help you automate your processes and organize the files in your Engagement. Here are some recommendations on how to fill the fields:

  • Related Sheet Row: This field should be left blank for requests that aren't tied to a specific Sheet Row; otherwise, choose the Sheet Row this request is tied to.

  • Request ID: An optional field that allows you to number requests for easy reference. It will auto-populate a suggested ID.

  • Due Date: Set this to give you client a due date for your request.

  • Client Owner(s): All Client Admins will see this request. Client Members will only see the Request if they are assigned as the Owner.

  • Copy files uploaded to this Request to Choose a folder: When a client uploads a file or files to this Request, a copy of the files will be created and stored for the firm's purposes in the Documents folder selected here. We recommend enabling this to automatically create a version of a file for firm members that can be edited and annotated separately from the client's version of the file.
