AI Chat for Sheets is a conversational AI assistant inside sheets. It uses a sheet's data and engagement information as context to answer your prompts. Use AI Chat to ask questions in natural language and receive relevant, contextual insights about controls, tests, and other data inside your sheet.
Use AI Chat inside a sheet
Open the Chat menu inside a sheet.
Enter a prompt, or select one from the prompt library.
Read Fieldguide AI's response in the chat window.
Select Reset to start a new conversation with the latest sheet data.
Context used by AI Chat for Sheets
AI Chat for Sheets can use the following information to answer your questions.
General information:
Sheet name
Engagement name
Engagement start and end dates
Company name
Your name, which helps AI Chat answer questions about items assigned to or signed off by you
Columns:
Key
Text, number, list, and formula columns, including formula definitions and calculated results
Shared columns from linked sheets, including the source sheet name
Control Activity and control information, including control keys, owners, implementation status, and sign-offs
Documents and document references (including contents), requests (including their titles, descriptions, statuses, and dates), tasks, sign-offs, key references, agents, risks, and trial balance values
Rows:
Row location and order
Background color
Sync status and sync counts
Values from all supported columns
Sheet-wide information:
Number of rows
Sections and subsections
AI Chat only looks inside the sheet you're chatting inside when it answers your prompts. It doesn't consider any of the other sheets in your engagement. To ask AI Chat about a different sheet, go to that sheet and open the chat window there.
