Form templates

Overview

Within the form templates, you can create new, view, rename, clone, and delete, as well as insert into engagements and update active forms.

Create a form template

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️ > Templates > Forms.

  2. Click “+ Form Template” on the top right to name and create your form.

  3. On the next page, click +Add a field. You’ll be prompted to add a field name, type, and any relevant details. Add all the fields you need to the form template.

For additional detail on building a form, see adding and populating form fields.

Add a form to an engagement or engagement template

Forms can be added to existing engagements and engagement templates. While adding to existing engagements may be necessary when a new form is created, we recommend adding them to engagement templates, ensuring every engagement of the same type requires the same information.

  1. Go to the Forms tab in your engagement.

  2. Click +New and select the form from the list of templates in the drop down menu.

  3. Click “Add Form.”

Form actions

When viewing your list of Form templates, action options can be found by clicking the 3-dots menu to the right.

Insert into existing engagements

Follow these steps to pull a form template into engagements.

  1. In your form template menu, click the 3-dots menu > Insert into engagements

  2. Use the menu to select which engagements to insert into, and whether to insert into the engagement’s Sheets or Documents tab

  3. Click Insert to push out the template

Update active forms

Append data to existing sheets

This option will insert any new components you've added to your form template and append them to the selected engagements. Any data you have added to your engagement form will be preserved.

Overwrite existing sheets

This option will overwrite all data in the active forms you select.

Caution: This is a destructive action and should only be used if you want to replace the selected form entirely.
