Overview
Using tasks and comments on a document allows you to communicate with your team and Client in the context of that document.
Tasks can be assigned to Firm or Client users. Before you are able to assign a Client user to a task or comment, they must be given access to view the document.
Using Tasks
You can add tasks to a document in the Tasks menu on the sidebar.
You can add comments directly within a Document task. These will show within the task in a conversational thread.
Using Comments
Comments that do not need to be associated with a task can be added from the Comments menu. This is also where you can view all comments already on the document. Comments and their replies are organized in a conversation thread.
If adding a comment that requires action/follow up, we recommend creating a task instead, or @ mention the user in the comment to ensure they’re notified.
