Overview
Requests can be linked to sheet rows to provide context for each request and automatically organize uploaded files. You can link the same request to multiple sheet rows, including rows in other engagements.
If an existing request fulfills the needs of multiple controls, link that request to all applicable rows instead of creating a duplicate one.
If your sheet has a Control Activity column, any linked requests will keep track of their related controls. You can see which controls and engagements a request is linked to in the Overview menu under Related Controls.
Link a request
Click +Request in the Requests cell on the sheet row.
Click Link Requests.
Search for and select one or more requests in the dropdown menu.
Check 'Show requests from other engagements' to include requests originally created in a different engagement. Only engagements for the same client are included.
Click Link Requests.
Unlink a request
To unlink a request from a sheet row:
View the request. In the Overview menu, scroll down to Related controls.
Hover over the name of a linked row and click the ⛔️ button to unlink the request from that row.
If any rows are synced in your sheet, they will be grouped together as a single option. To unlink a request from only one of these rows, you must unsync that row from the others.
Click Unlink to confirm.
Unlinking a request does not delete the request. Requests that are not linked to any rows remain under the Requests tab in the engagement where they were created.
Unlinking a request from all sheet rows does not remove it from any engagements. Linked requests with no sheet row mappings will remain visible on the Requests tab. If a request is linked to multiple engagements, follow these steps to completely unlink a request from a specific engagement:
