Overview
Single sign-on (SSO) allows users to sign into Fieldguide with the login credentials managed by your company (such as Microsoft, Google, or Okta).
Logging in with SSO
If your company uses SSO to access Fieldguide, users need to use your company's SSO URL to access Fieldguide. If you're not sure what this is, reach out to Fieldguide support for help ([email protected]).
Reset a password for SSO
If you use SSO to access Fieldguide, your login is managed by your IT administrator instead of Fieldguide. If you need help resetting your password, reach out to your company's IT help desk.
Add a new user with SSO
To add a new SSO user to Fieldguide:
Create the user's account in Fieldguide.
Your IT administrator should add the user to the proper security group in your company's user identity system.
Before signing in for the first time, the user will need to verify their email by clicking the link in the invitation email sent by [email protected].
The user should sign into Fieldguide using your company's SSO URL.
The invitation email is sent automatically after the user's account is created in Fieldguide. If the user has trouble finding it in their inbox, an admin can send a new invitation by clicking Resend invite in the user's settings.
Change a user's email for SSO
To update an SSO user's email address:
Your IT administrator should update the user's email address in your company's user identity system.
Contact the Fieldguide support team to complete the process ([email protected]).
Exclude a user from SSO login
If your company has enabled SSO, all user accounts are designed for SSO login by default. SSO-enabled users must have an account under your company's SSO identity provider (such as Azure or Okta) to access Fieldguide.
If you need to grant Fieldguide access to someone who doesn't have an account under your company's identity provider, you'll need to exclude them from SSO login.
To exclude a user from SSO login, a firm admin should contact [email protected], and our team will assist.
