Overview
The Fieldguide browser extension enables you to capture screenshots of websites and upload them directly to Fieldguide requests – all without leaving your browser.
Download the extension
To set up the Fieldguide browser extension:
Add the Fieldguide browser extension from the Chrome Web Store. If needed, give the extension permission to take screenshots.
Note: Currently the browser extension is available for Chromium-based browsers (Chrome or Edge).Open the Extensions menu
in the top-right of your browser, and click Fieldguide Browser Extension.
Sign into your Fieldguide account.
Upload a screenshot to a request
To upload a screenshot to a request:
Select an engagement in the dropdown menu, and then select a request from that engagement.
Click Capture Current Tab to take a screenshot of the currently visible browser tab. You can take multiple screenshots.
Note: Some websites do not allow screen capture, like the Chrome Web Store.
Click Upload to upload the screenshots to the request.
If you would also like to send the request for firm review, you can click Send for Review in the green banner that displays after clicking Upload.
Other features
If you have lots of requests, you can sort requests by status using the request filters.
You can also open the request you’ve selected directly in Fieldguide by clicking the arrow icon.
