Add a report template to an engagement

Overview

Report templates are managed based on your firm’s preference, and can be stored anywhere that documents can be stored. Typically, admins save templates at the firm-level so they can be copied into any engagement. Practitioners may also roll over and re-use templates stored in an engagement’s documents.

Copy an admin template

Admins can save firm-wide templates in the admin settings so practitioners can pull a copy into any engagement. Use the Copy Files From button to pull in an admin template.

Firm members must have the View templates permission in order to access the Copy files from menu.

Copy from another engagement

If you included documents in your engagement rollover, your report templates will also be included. If not, you can still pull in last year’s template. Use the Copy Files From button to pull in a template from a previous engagement (or from any other engagement for this client).

Create a new template

If you don’t want to use an existing report template, you can create a new report template from scratch.
