Fieldguide AI FAQ

Fieldguide AI FAQ

What is Fieldguide AI?

Fieldguide AI is a set of features that helps firms boost productivity by using artificial intelligence (AI) to assist with writing text, analyzing documents, and managing data mappings. To request access to Fieldguide AI, or for questions about which features you have access to, please contact [email protected].

How does Fieldguide AI work?

Fieldguide AI uses a type of AI known as a language model. Language models work by using a process called deep learning to analyze large amounts of text data, such as books, articles, and web pages, and learn the patterns and relationships between words and phrases in the data.

The model is then trained to use this knowledge to generate human-like responses to questions or prompts it receives.

When you interact with Fieldguide AI, it takes your specific question and queries a model based on its knowledge of language and context. This in turn generates a response that it believes is most relevant and accurate based on its analysis of the text data it has learned from.

What is Fieldguide’s relationship with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and OpenAI?

Fieldguide uses multiple vendors, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and OpenAI as vendors to facilitate the usage and deployment of language models in a scalable, safe, and efficient manner.

As is the case with all of Fieldguide’s vendors, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and OpenAI are part of Fieldguide’s vendor management program, which involves an internal annual review of information security controls, including their SOC 2 Type 2 report, data management policies, and overall compliance.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No, your data in Fieldguide is not used to train AI models. The AI models used by Fieldguide are stateless - they do not retain memory of previous interactions or information not present in their training data.

Additionally, Fieldguide's AI model partners, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and OpenAI, do not use user-submitted data to train or improve their models.

Since data in Fieldguide is not used for training purposes, Fieldguide AI is one of the safest ways for your organization to leverage AI models.

How is my data used by Fieldguide, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and OpenAI?

It’s important to note that your data is not used to train models.

When you interact with Fieldguide AI, a limited set of data, called a “prompt” is created. That prompt is used to query AI models and return a suggestion. The prompt data that is used to query AI models is not used for model training or service improvements. It may be retained for abuse and misuse monitoring purposes for a maximum of 30 days by our AI partners, after which it will be deleted.

Fieldguide’s internal machine learning and data science teams do, from time-to-time, use aggregated, anonymized product data to build better products for customers, but do not use non-anonymized customer data for training purposes.

In all cases, your data is encrypted and private following our standard security and data protection practices.

How accurate is Fieldguide AI?

Recent advances in language models are known for their impressive accuracy in generating human-like responses to questions. Language models are really good at predicting what words and phrases answer a question based on patterns in their overall corpus of training data, however, they don't understand the nuances and context of language as humans do.

Due to this, Fieldguide AI should only be used to assist and augment work. It should not be used to make decisions or draw conclusions, nor should it be used to generate content that does not undergo human review.

Fieldguide AI may produce content that is inaccurate, harmful, or biased, especially in cases where the language used is highly technical, ambiguous, or requires a deep understanding of context.

It's important to note that Fieldguide AI’s responses are constantly improving. You may be asked to provide feedback on these responses, which may be used to help improve accuracy.

Are there limits on how much I can use Fieldguide AI?

Fieldguide AI is currently available as a Preview Release, which means that it is available to test without any warranty of it’s accuracy or guarantee of availability. It is not part of Fieldguide’s core platform service level agreement. From time to time, the service may be rate limited or unavailable.

Are there terms of service for Fieldguide AI?

Fieldguide AI is governed by a separate set of Terms of Service, which can be found here. By using Fieldguide AI, you agree to these Terms.
