Overview
Sheet filters give you the power to see only the data that’s relevant to the task at hand. This article explains the different sheet filter options available and how to use them.
Before you begin
Make sure you know how to access the Filters and Columns menus—you'll need to access these menus for the other steps in this article.
Access the Filters menu
Click the filter icon in the top-right of your sheet to open the Filters menu.
Access the Columns menu
Click the columns icon in the top-right of your sheet to open the Columns menu.
Column filters and organization
Change the column order (rearrange columns)
Freeze columns (lock columns to keep them in view while scrolling)
Row filters and organization
Sort rows by their key
Expand or collapse sections (hide rows from view)
View unique rows (hide duplicate rows)
Filter rows by color
