About MIME types

Upload support is based on the file's MIME type, not the file extension. A file's MIME type is determined by your browser and operating system. For easy reference, we've included the list of supported file extensions based on the official or most common MIME type expected for that file extension. Your experience may vary depending on the specific MIME type your browser assigns to a given file.

Some files extensions have no standard or official MIME type, such as proprietary file extensions. These files are marked as ⚠️ Varies in the table below.

Troubleshooting

If you need to upload a file that's not currently supported, consider converting it to a format such as .txt, which uses supported MIME type text/plain. Consult the official documentation for your file type for more information.
