Overview
MFA (multi-factor authentication) can optionally be enabled on user accounts in Fieldguide. If a user is having an issue logging in with MFA, resetting MFA on their account may resolve this.
Before you start
Not all users can reset their own (or other users') MFA. If you don't have access, reach out to your firm admin for help with these steps.
Reset a user's MFA
To reset a user’s MFA:
Go to Settings > Users, then click on the user.
Toggle MFA off, then toggle MFA back on
Have the user complete the MFA setup
Have the user complete the setup
Once the user’s MFA has been reset, they will need to complete the MFA setup process. The next time they sign into Fieldguide, they will be prompted to scan a QR code to set up an MFA code with their preferred authenticator app. Users can follow the instructions here.
If the user prefers to use SMS (text message) for MFA codes, they can click “try another method” and select SMS.
