Questionnaires are a tool designed to streamline the Readiness process. They eliminate the need for multiple phone calls, spreadsheets, and long email chains back-and-forth with your client. Sending your client a Questionnaire will enable you to get the information you need to tailor-recommend Controls, policies, and more.
A Questionnaire presents your client with a series of questions and offer suggestions for Controls based on your client's answers. Along with suggested Controls, Questionnaires can also recommend:

The suggested Controls are based on your client's answers. For multi-select questions, here are the possible answers and how they determine what Controls to add:
We do this: the recommended Control will be added to the client's Control Library and marked as "implemented"
We don't do this, but plan to: the recommended Control will be added to the client's Control Library but marked as "not implemented"
We don't plan to do this: no Controls related to this question will be added
