View the sheet activity log

See who edited a sheet and what changes they made

Overview

The activity log shows a history of changes made to a sheet and the name of the user who made them.

View sheet activity

  1. In the Sheet Details menu, click View activity.
    ​

  2. Click on an activity item to see more details.
    ​

View cell activity

You can view the activity log for a specific sheet cell.

  1. Expand the cell and view the activity log under the Activity header.

  2. Hover over an item and click View to see more details.

Restore a cell to a previous version

You can restore a cell to its previous contents in the cell activity.

  1. Hover over the item in the cell activity log.

  2. Click Restore.
