Redact a document

Protect sensitive information in PDFs with redaction

To redact PDF documents, follow these steps:

  1. Select redact from the toolbar above the PDF viewer.
    ​

  2. Highlight text to mark it for redaction. To bulk-redact text, enter text into the redaction panel's search bar, or select from the list of patterns (credit cards, phone numbers, emails, and SSNs).
    ​

  3. When you're done marking text for redaction, click Redact All in the redaction panel.
