Overview
After you've uploaded the current year's trial balance, you can add a trial balance for the prior period (or any other period) to your engagement. This can be helpful for:
Comparing accounts to the prior year.
Adding budgets (planned figures vs. actuals).
Uploading interim trial balances (e.g., for audits before year-end).
Add another trial balance
Upload the other trial balance to the engagement's Documents tab.
Inside your current trial balance, go to Utilities > Add Prior Period Trial Balance.
Select the other trial balance from your documents. Set the period, and then map any new accounts.
Your other trial balance will be added to the Trial Balances folder in the Documents tab. Access it here to make changes, like changing column names or other data. This trial balance's account values will be added as a shared column to the current trial balance.
